What You Need Before Starting

Make sure you have:

• The CurseForge Launcher installed

• A modpack file in .zip format (provided by the server or modpack creator)

• Enough disk space for Minecraft + mods (usually 2–6GB)

Step 1: Open the CurseForge Launcher

1. Launch the CurseForge App

2. On the left sidebar, click:

   Minecraft

Step 2: Go to “My Modpacks”

1. At the top, select:

   My Modpacks

2. This is where all your installed modpacks will appear.

Step 3: Click “Create Custom Profile” or “Import”

In the top right corner, click:

Create Custom Profile

Then select:

Import

(Some versions show an “Import Pack” button directly — both work the same.)

Step 4: Select Your Modpack ZIP File

1. A file browser window will open.

2. Locate your modpack .zip file (example: CenastorMC_Modpack.zip)

3. Click:

   Open

CurseForge will now begin importing the modpack.

Step 5: Wait for Installation to Complete

The launcher will automatically:

• Extract the files

• Download all required mods

• Install the correct Minecraft version

• Install Forge or Fabric (depending on the pack)

This may take a few minutes.

Step 6: Launch the Modpack

Once installed:

1. Click the modpack icon in My Modpacks

2. Press:

   Play

Minecraft will start with all mods loaded.

Step 7: Join the Server

Once Minecraft is open:

1. Click Multiplayer

2. Select Add Server

3. Enter the server IP:

   play.cenastormc.com (example)

4. Click Join Server

Common Troubleshooting

Modpack Won’t Import?

Make sure:

• The file is a .zip (not .rar or .7z)

• The modpack includes a valid manifest.json

• You downloaded the full export, not just the mods folder

Minecraft Crashes on Launch?

Try:

• Allocating more RAM (4GB+ recommended)

• Updating Java

• Reinstalling the modpack cleanly

Missing Mods?

Sometimes CurseForge blocks certain mods.
If needed, the server may provide extra download instructions.
