Internet Explorer is not supported. Please upgrade to a more modern browser.
Make sure you have:
The CurseForge Launcher installed
A modpack file in .zip format (provided by the server or modpack creator)
Enough disk space for Minecraft + mods (usually 2–6GB)
Launch the CurseForge App
On the left sidebar, click:
Minecraft
At the top, select:
My Modpacks
This is where all your installed modpacks will appear.
In the top right corner, click:
Create Custom Profile
Then select:
Import
(Some versions show an “Import Pack” button directly — both work the same.)
A file browser window will open.
Locate your modpack .zip file (example: CenastorMC_Modpack.zip)
Click:
Open
CurseForge will now begin importing the modpack.
The launcher will automatically:
Extract the files
Download all required mods
Install the correct Minecraft version
Install Forge or Fabric (depending on the pack)
This may take a few minutes.
Once installed:
Click the modpack icon in My Modpacks
Press:
Play
Minecraft will start with all mods loaded.
Once Minecraft is open:
Click Multiplayer
Select Add Server
Enter the server IP:
play.cenastormc.com (example)
Click Join Server
Make sure:
The file is a .zip (not .rar or .7z)
The modpack includes a valid manifest.json
You downloaded the full export, not just the mods folder
Try:
Allocating more RAM (4GB+ recommended)
Updating Java
Reinstalling the modpack cleanly
Sometimes CurseForge blocks certain mods.
If needed, the server may provide extra download instructions.
